How it works
Know what happens at every step.
From the first call to year-end, here’s what working with Maya looks like, what you get at each step and what she’ll need from you.
The client journey
Five steps, no surprises.
Nothing starts until you know the scope and the fee. Every step after that has a clear owner: what Maya does, and what you bring.
-
01
A 20-minute discovery call
- What happens
- You tell Maya about your business, your books and the tax questions on your mind.
- What you get
- A straight answer on which service fits and what to tackle first.
- What to bring
- A rough picture of your revenue, how the business is set up and how your books are kept today.
-
02
A closer look, when it’s needed
- What happens
- If your books are behind or the picture isn’t clear, Maya reviews your records before recommending a plan.
- What you get
- Clarity on what needs fixing, what it would take and what to do first.
- What to bring
- Access to your books, such as QuickBooks Online, and recent tax returns.
-
03
A defined scope
- What happens
- You agree on the work, who handles what, the timing and the fee before anything starts.
- What you get
- Clear expectations: what’s included, what isn’t and what happens next.
- What to bring
- Your questions. Nothing is decided until you say yes.
-
04
Getting set up
- What happens
- Your books are connected or cleaned up, and records are organized for the year ahead.
- What you get
- Books you can trust going forward, set up around your jobs.
- What to bring
- Bank and card access, bills, invoices and any job records you keep.
-
05
Through the year, and at filing time
- What happens
- We talk when big choices come up. Your books stay current if bookkeeping is part of the work. Your returns get prepared at filing time.
- What you get
- Decisions made with the tax impact in view, instead of finding out in April.
- What to bring
- A heads-up before big moves: equipment, vehicles, hiring or a change in how you pay yourself.
Your information
Your documents stay off the website.
Booking a call only asks how to reach you. We never collect tax papers, Social Security numbers or account details through this website. Maya will tell you how to share them once you agree on the work.
Questions
Before you book.
Do I need to know which service I need?
No. You don’t need to know which service to choose before reaching out. Tell Maya where you are today and what you’d like help with.
Do my books need to be caught up first?
No. Start with a discovery call and tell Maya where things stand. You’ll leave knowing what needs attention first.
What happens on the discovery call?
Share where your business stands, ask about available support and agree on the next step.
Do you work with businesses outside Vancouver?
We’re based in Vancouver, Washington. We serve Clark County and business owners across the country.
Step one is a conversation.
Book a discovery call and tell Maya what’s going on in the business.
